Delhi Ikebana International - The Beginning

It was a moment of great pride for us, when Mrs. Veena Dass –one of the founder members of our Chapter was conferred “KYOKU-JITSU SOKO SHO” The order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays, by HIS MAJESTY AKIHITO ,EMPEROR OF JAPAN. She has been felicitated by the Sogetsu School,Tokyo with “Certificate of meritorious achievements “for the 80th year anniversary celebrations The Sogetsu School Tokyo ,for its 70th year anniversary had also conferred the “EIYOSHO” award for her creative and distinctive approach to Ikebana. She has the highest degree –“RIJI” from Sogetsu School Veena Dass has been Director of the Sogetsu School of Ikebana for over four decades and, has been teaching and propagating art of Sogetsu School of Ikebana since 1966.
